GAPaholic strikes again

My name is ..... and I have a mild addiction (OK, a full on addiction) to the GAP. I cant ever seem to walk in to that store and walk out empty handed. I have been avoiding the GAP for a while now in hopes of curing my addiction and also so that my closet doesnt entirely look like a mini version of a GAP outlet. Who wants to be a walking GAP ad anyway??

Anyway, after staying away for months and years, I went in today and my gawd, everything is on sale! I found these nice suede gloves for half price (I really do need gloves cuz I don’t have any...) and this woman was standing next to me eyeing MY GLOVES. They were the last ones in Small! So I took my time trying them on, and admired them. Felt the warm fuzziness against my cheeks. The entire time, this woman was leering at me, hoping that I would put them back. So.... I held on to them and took my own sweet time. I tried on different colours and then the touques above them. I pawed the scarves and even tried to find a match. She kept looking at my gloves. Well, I wasn't about to let these nice gloves drop for her to swoop in like a predatory hyaena waiting for her chance at the kill. Fat chance lady! Hahahahaha!! I kept them and then went to pay them.

I left the GAP feeling somewhat guilty having fallen off the wagon but oh so satisfied at frustrating that woman. hahahaha! Take that, lady!! Now I'm just waiting for karma to come back and bite me in the ass.

Aussie man hanged

In approximately one hour, Singapore will hang convicted drug smuggler Nguyen Tuong Van. I can't help but feel sorry for the poor chap. I don't think he is that bad of a person but I wouldn't be so quick to honour him with a national moment of silence. He is guilty of making an incredibly stupid choice in a country where draconian law presides and for this he is paying the ulitmate price. I am certain that Mr. Nguyen was fully aware of the penalities for smuggling drugs but he chose to do it anyway. How desparate was his circumstance that drove him to commit this crime?
Australia asked for clemency. Singapore denied. In a last minute effort, Australia asked for extradition in order for him to be tried under Australian law (thereby saving his life but maybe locking him up in jail for a long time). I don't think Singapore should spare Mr. Nguyen on the basis that he is a foreigner but should give serious consideration to circumstances of the crime before administration of the death penalty.
Drugs are a very, very serious issue in Singapore and other countries in South East Asia and never to be taken lightly. Now if only these countries would treat child molesters and child sex-tourists with equal harshness...
